for the most part, i feel live i've been gone from the world for about a month and it's eerie and it's shitty.
i told my mom i haven't been home for a month and she agrees.
i can't begin to try to catch up because i know that i dip in and out and i'm more out than in most of the time, all of the time.
i miss you and i need you in my life, too.

There were three factors for Britain's decision not to recognize the Confederacy:
1. South's cotton wasn't as big a deal as they thought and Britain found out where the good cotton is at. Basically, Britain saw Uptown Girls and knew that Egyptian cotton was where it's at.
2. Robert E. Lee got his ass kicked at Antietam and it was bloody and gross and the British didn't want to touch that
3. The Emancipation Proclamation was issued making the end of slavery an objective and the British were totally not down with the enslavement of other people.
